The all-over print, done properly
An all-over print has no front, back or panel: the same design flows continuously across the full fabric width and along the length of the roll. That only works when the repeat unit wraps seamlessly in both directions; any hard edge shows up as banding once metres of fabric come off the machine.
Dress materials, sarees, bedsheets and upholstery each pull the same trick at different scales, from a dense 5 cm buti to a sweeping half-metre floral. The spacing control sets how dense the repeat sits; half-drop keeps large motifs from stacking into rows.
